Phoenix are into the final following this one-sided match at the GB Oval.

With only 9 players (AGAIN), two of which were the budding youth from the Sperling household, the scene was set for a strange match.

DCC batted first and struggled to 119 for 8 from their 20 overs. Although Saty played exceptionaly well to make 58, the bowling was too good indicated by Zeeshan's 3 for 26 (4:1:26:3) and Andrew starting with 3 maidens before ending with figures of 4:3:5:2. 1 wicket apiece from András (4:0:29:1) and Mahesh (2:0:14:1) finished off the fine effort from the Phoenix bowlers and fielders.

120 to win at 6 runs per over and only 9 players.................

.................but one of those players is Zeeshan Khan who once again took the bowling apart in a T20 match this season. Mahesh opened with him and played his part with 25 in the partnership that took just 10 overs to win by 10 wickets. Incredible to watch and obviously frustrating to bowl against.

Off to the final later in September, see you there.
